We design, build and install it ourselves.

Kaizeng builds cafes, restaurants and cloud kitchens, and we build them in our own unit in Powai, Mumbai. We aren't a design studio that hands you drawings and leaves the build to whoever you can find. We make it. The same team that plans your outlet fabricates the counters, runs the services and hands you the keys.

That matters most on a food and beverage opening. The date is usually fixed, and every extra week is rent on an outlet that isn't earning yet. We built Penguin Bean Coffee at Pali Naka in Bandra, and we've built for Tuskin. We know what it takes to open a working kitchen, not just a room that photographs well.

One team from brief to handover

A cafe has a lot going on under the surface. Civil work, plumbing, electricals, exhaust and ventilation, the counter and back-of-house joinery, the branding, and a fire and health standard you clear before you serve a single coffee. Split that across separate vendors and your opening weeks go on chasing them. We keep it in one place, quoted against a clear bill of quantities, so you know the cost before we start and you have one team to hold to the date.

Built in our own unit, not a rented promise

Most of the joinery and fixed furniture is made in our Powai facility, then installed on site. That's the difference between a date we control and a date we hope for. When a change comes up, and on a live site it always does, it goes straight to the people making the piece. You're not waiting for a message to travel through three phone numbers.

What we build

Standalone cafes and coffee bars. Full-service restaurants. Cloud and dark kitchens where the whole point is to open fast and run lean. Bars and QSR counters inside malls and on high streets. The format changes, the method doesn't. We plan the services in from the first drawing, so the kitchen works on day one instead of getting patched after the opening.

Why brands that have been burned come to us

The common story we hear goes like this. A designer drew something lovely, the build went to a contractor who had never spoken to the designer, and the two blamed each other while the opening slipped.
